I need to upgrade a AB800 unit to an AB1600 that may be out of warranty. I also need to replace the housing for it. I modded the housing to fit within a projector. With the extra two caps It should be covered again. Pics Below

One other thing I need a test switch to replace the one that is broken on one of my eight Cybersync CST transmitters.

I can do the work myself, if I can get the parts, as I work as an Electronic tech. I work with SMT components everyday.

I used a Besseler Magic Lantern Slide Projector. I picked it up about 8 years ago for $50 to do this. I gutted the projector and mounted an Alien Bee 800 into that space. I also designed and made a LED Modeling Light for it. The Modeling Light is the equivalent of a 250W bulb as it puts out 10.8M mcds or 4100 lumens. The exposure now is F4 @ ISO 400. I need to upgrade the AB to a 1600 and move the flash tube forward some. The LEDs shroud the flash tube cutting some of the power. These two mods should quadruple the power giving me two more stops.

I use the projector to project patterns onto the models.

It looks like you are going to destroy Alderaan if Leia doesn't give you the location of the Rebel base.

However, upgrades are only available on in-warranty lights. New housings are available if it is sent in for repair.

So I think the last unit I purchased is still in warranty. I can send that one in for the upgrade and send this one in and get a new housing. Correct?

What about the CST transmitter Button? Like I said, I have three soldering stations here with Microscopes to do the SMT rework.

Yes, you can updgrade your newer light and get the housing fixed on this one. As for the CST, we do not generally send out component level parts. Give us a call, and speak to David or Joe. We will see what may be done to get it up and going.

Actually, I started with this sort of project before I created the first WL. So I know what you are facing. Looks like you are doing things right, and I admire your work and innovation.

I will contact our customer service and somehow get the equipment you need from us in the works.
