So I've had the Vagabond II for about 3 years now. I noticed the battery life isn't what it used to be so I decided to get a new larger battery so I dont have to worry about running out of power on location. I replaced the 12volt 20AH battery with a 12 volt 35AH Deep cell battery.

In the Vagabond Manual it says " We recommend that you leave the charging cord plugged in to both the inverter and the AC power source, allowing the battery to continue charging whenever the system is not in use. This will not overcharge the battery and will assure you of maximum performance"

So im wondering is it ok to keep the new 12 volt 35AH battery I installed plugged in all the time? Or because this is a different type of battery should I just charge it until it is fully charged then unplug it?

The statement of leaving it plugged in all the time is based on the assumption it gets used regularly. If it is not used regularly, you can fully charge it, unplug it, and top it off every couple of weeks or so. If the battery is disconnected, you increase that time to every month or so. If you go long periods of time (6 months or longer) without using it, try to exercise for a little while every so often. This can be as simple as plugging a lamp or light with model lamp on and letting it run for a while. Then recharge it immediately. This will keep the battery as fresh as possible.
