I been using PCB Steins for 8-9 months now and i bought one a few weeks ago to add to my collection. I'm currently using the new one i bought and noticed it doesn't dim when you fire the strobe. Why? and will the next firmware fix the older steins i have?

Likely a settings issue, as the dimming is a recycle indicator. On the back panel of the light, in the window labled "READY", you have the options of OFF, a music note, a light bulb, or a light bulb and a music note. Only if you see a light bulb, will the lights dim when fired.

if by "fix" you mean have the model light not dim, the current firmware allows this. You can set this under RECYCLE INDICATOR in the light settings menu of a Cyber Commander, or you can set it via the back panel if you are not using a Cyber Commander.

no problem, but remember if you are using a CC, the change has to be done in the CC or the CC needs to be reprogrammed after the change is made. If the change is made on the light, the CC will override it and revert it to the settings of the CC.
