Post subject: | Unable to update firmware on einstein |
Hello, I am unable to get the einstein to accept the firmware update. When I follow the instructions (unplug the power cord, insert the card into the light, and plug the power cord in) all that happens is a single burst of the fan and no changes on the screen. Any advice? |

It sounds like: A- You formatted the card to FAT32 on a PC or FAT on a MAC (the latter is FAT32) B- The card is SDHC (a.k.a. larger than 2GB) C-You have already updated one Einstein with that card. |

Thank you for the quick response. I have formatted the card to FAT32 on PC, it is a 4GB card, however this is my one and only Einstein... The odd part is that I do get a small burst from the fan that does not occur when there is no card inserted in the device, which leads me to think that it is recognizing that there is a card in it. My current build is #22 per the start up screen. Thanks, |

That will do it. Max capacity of an SD card in an E640 is 2GB. It does recognize there is a card, but does not know what to do with it. |
