I am heavily leaning in on getting two Einstein 640 Studio Flashes. I already have quite a few PocketWizard Plus II devices that I have used with my Canon 580 EX IIs. I also have a Sekonic L758DR light meter with the built-in PW system.

I spent a lot of time reading the technical forum, and here is my understanding of how the PocketWizard Plus II can work with the new Einstein 640s. I'd like to check that understanding.

First, I understand that the newer Einsteins no longer have the range interference issue.

Second, if I use a PW Plus II linked to the Sync Jack on the back of the strobe with a non-attenuated 1/8" jack (part number CSSC), then I should be able to trigger the strobes from the PW mounted on my camera or the one in the light meter.

Third, I am also looking at getting a pair of Vagabond Minis for the strobes. I have not seen any references whether they cause any interference issues with the PW Plus IIs. I am assuming there are no such interference issues.

Is my understanding correct on the three points above? And if not, in what way is my understanding wrong?

Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Nick

correct on all 3. although i don't ever recall hearing about the range interference issue with the pocketwizard system. But then again, i haven't been following that since pocketwizards were never on my radar/to buy list.

Yes, you were correct on all 3 points.
There was an issue in early E640's that was corrected in the "v.2" update. No such problems were present with the VML, which is typically positioned far enough away it would not be a problem.
