Ok I was playing around with my new Einstein and after a little while blew a fuse.
Thought that was odd, but turned down the power and used the spare that came with it.
After a few moments that one blew.

I know I can order them, but I have no idea what kind of store carries this type of fuse.
Anyone ever need to get a fuse for Einstein in a hurry?

Also, any ideas why this happened?

Any way to bypass the fuse?

People have destroyed their equipment, and sometimes even lost their lives and/or homes trying to bypass fuses and breakers.....I wouldn't try it. They're there for a reason.

Totally agree with BigIron.... the fuse is blowing for a reason and bypassing it does not address the root cause, it just increases the chances of something bad happening.

There are many reasons why it could blow, bad power supply or a fault in the head are the most common. I would suggest calling in to trouble shoot.

!!!!DO NOT TRY TO BYPASS THE FUSE!!!!

TS - do you know of a good place to buy replacements. Is there a brick & mortar place like an auto parts store? Obviously it is best to have spares but I was wondering what to do if you need one in a hurry.

I am not sure a local brick and mortar store would carry them. Radio Shack would be more likely than an auto parts store, however, I dont think Radio Shack carries them. We recommend DigiKey.

Thanks. I noticed that the Shack didn't have them. I guess the moral here is to make sure to have some extras before you need them!
