Post subject:  Shooting Groups of various Sizes

I've been shooting groups from 5-60 using 2 AB800s with 48" umbrellas for years. I decided to come into the modern age an invest in one or more PLMs. What would you recommend?

I'm a little confused with all of the options (multiple silver, white) and diffusers.

I'm looking for something flexible that I can use for evenly lighting the large group (about 60 is the largest group in a space about 25' wide and 10 feet deep. I'd like to have appropriate modifiers to use it with portrait shoots as well.

I appreciate your thoughts.

Two 64" or 51" Soft Silver PLMâ„¢ would probably be your best bet. Will cover the group well if back about 15-20' and five you 4 times the output of white umbrellas and similar light quality. For quick and easy setup I'd get the 8mm straight shaft versions.
