Any plans for smartphone apps like for iPhone iPad or any phone that uses for app to control like c.c? I think iPad would be awesome if we can use it to control lights like we could remotely control with our house lights anytime. |

We do not have any plans for an application or device that requires a third party product to operate. |

An app alone can't do this. It would have to be coupled with an interface from the USB to a newly designed transceiver that could actually transmit the signal to the light's receivers. There may also be a sync delay problem induced by the USB bit rate. |

Or one could produce a straight up WiFi reciever for the Einstein (or better yet a wireless bridge/hub/proxy to bridge from whatever wifi is used on the cyber parts to standard 802.11g exposing a standardized set of interfaces in the process) and have the computers and iPad and iPhone connect using built-in wifi and bypassing any USB dongle or cord concerns. Using a wireless bridge of some sort would likely be the best approach since it would be a seamless expansion of the system and wouldn't involve a huge hit to the existing system or software (assuming commands appear to be coming from the c.c.). Something similar to Elinchrom's offering: http://www.elinchrom.com/product/EL-Sky ... ml#content ~mike |
