One of my Einstein is acting as a modeling light bulb serial killer, a few minutes after I replace it burns again, I have 3 units side by side, the unit that is burning the bulbs do not show the "Pump Temperature" on the service status, which all the fully functioning units do. I burned all my spare (3) light bulbs so far. I reseted all units (easy set) and turn all ON using the Cybersync remote at the same time, around 3 to 4 minutes the unit burns the bulb. The bulb burn either in full power or in low power, just take more time when in Low power. All my units have around 6500 shoots each. This started recently.

I sure will contact support, just giving the feedback.

If you are not getting a PUMP TEMP reading, then there is a fault in the unit which will require warranty service.

I just bought my first Einstein unit a couple weeks ago. Within 10 minutes of the modelling lamp being on (for the first time) at 250w, the unit started smoking. Haven't used it since. I'm still waiting for a reply via email. Very disappointing considering it's my first experience with these lights.

Was there a modifier on the unit at the time?

Yes, a beauty dish with the center piece attached.

Did the smoking stop after the model lamp was shut off? If so, then there may be something on the model lamp burning off (finger oils, dust, etc). We do avoid touching the model lamps directly here. However, between the bulb factory, through production, and after the end user recieving, I cannot completely eliminate the possibility.
