The AlienBees B800 is $280 and the WL X800 is $390. What are the major differences between the two? |

WL800 vs. AB800 250W vs. 150W model lamp Aluminum vs. Lexan housing Thermostatically controlled fan vs. constant fan Audible error alarm vs. no alarm 5yr warranty vs. 2 yr warranty 1/4" sync jack vs. 1/8" sync jack Independent control of model lamp vs. full, off and tracking only The same is true for the 1600's except WLX 1600 and WLX 3200's have a 1/4 power switch. This allows for two extra stops of power adjustment on the low end. AB and WLX 800 lights do not have this feature. |
