Which is the most popular CyberSync™ Receiver Plus - CSR+ AC-powered receiver for wireless control Or CyberSync™ Receiver Plus - CSRB+ battery-powered receiver for wireless control And why? I think ac powered would be best choice but if you think differently please share. Would cyber commander control alien bees model lights or it's stop with cyber commander. Also will cc have flash meter sync cord plug like sekonic. I looked and I think it's on cc side. Not sure? I feel so newbie askin but want to know before I buy it. Thanks |

I dont have sales figures, but based on conversations, it seems pretty evenly divided. CSRB+ remotes are more versatile since they can be used on speedlites (no power adjustment) and most brands of flash units, regardless of AC cord types. However, the AC versions will never need batteries. You can control the model lamp of any of our lights with an RJ11 jack via the Cyber Commander. On the Bees, you can even set the model lamps independently with the CC, which is a feature not available on the Bees without the CC. |

I bought 5 csrb+ and a cyber commander :). Ok my question is. Can you guys direct me right tool like a hot shoe for my canon ex ii speedlite with csrb+ Amazon or any site for a reliable product. |

Will rechargeable energizer batteries be ok for csrb+ and cc? |

We can recommend rechargeables only for the recievers, though you will likely get fewer than the stated 200 on hours per charge with them. Do not use rechargeables in the CC, as rechargeables have a lower nominal voltage and will run it for a while, but as the power drops, then the CC will crash. One user has reported success with Eneloops, as they hold maximum charge for a longer period, but we have not tested them and cannot officially endorse them for that purpose. |

Ok. Manual may not be complicated to you but it kinda for me. I wish there are diagrams howmto use cyber commander and csrb+ I'm trying hook it up but I don't think I got frequency right on cc. I'm trying figure it out.. Is there anyone here willing to walk me through? I I'll have to play around with cc and learn but it knda complicate for me bec it's my first time doing wirelessly. Can anyone show me a picture how its hooked up from csrb+ to alien bee. I didnhook up the telephone cord to alienbee and press test button. Alien bee fired but not from cc Is there anyway I can reset cc system to factory settings? |

On the light. All model lamp buttons pushed in. Power slider to the far right (full). Reciever plugged in to "remote" jack (telephone jack). We also recommend plugging a cord into the "sync" jack. On the CSRB+ make note of frequency and channel that is selected. Odd numbers are marked, even numbers are in between. Channel selection is indicated by the arrow on the dials. Press test button to ensure the reciever is turned on. Each receiver should have its own channel, all set to the same frequency. On the CC. note the white text above the buttons. These have prompts as to what each button does and arrows to show you which direction to use. Please note the colors used in the description that follows. For the purposes of set up, some dashes are immediately important, some can wait. With the CC on, use the right joystick (j/s) to scroll left or right until you enter the Setup screen. Use the right j/s up or down to highlight FREQUENCY, then press in. Verify the frequency matches that set on the CSRB+. Use the right j/s up or down to change. Once selected, scroll right with the right j/s to reenter setup screen. Using the right j/s, scroll up or down to OPEN MEMORY, and press in. Using the left j/s, select STUDIO in the lower left corner. Press in with the right j/s. When "finished opening" appears, you should see a white (that matches the text) or gray (that matches the graph bars) dashes at the bottom of the graph. One for each reciever. Scroll right with the right j/s to reenter SET UP. Select "Spec lights", and press in. Use the left joystick to select to select the channel corresponding to the reciever. Use the right j/s to scroll up to "Alien Bees", and press in. USe the right j/s up or down to select B800, and press in (do not select ABR800). Select 150W and press in. Repeat these steps for each light. If the dash at the bottom is gray, let me know. Otherwise, scroll back to the main flash screen and test out where you are, and we will go from there. |
