I have a corporate event coming up, my goal is to have an Einstein and AB800 (both back in the deep corners of the room) firing off of my cybercommander BUT ALSO have a 580EX on the hotshoe of my camera. I don't want the Buff lights triggering off of the speedlight flash due to other photographers in the room, but i do want to add some fill flash with my 580. i guess i'm asking if the cybercommander can be wired to my Canon 7D is it possible? thanks. |

Yes. This is a very common set up. Simply mount the speedlite as normal and attach the CC to the camera via the sync cord that came with the Cyber Commander. How you mount the CC is up to you, but it is often velcro'ed or rubber banded to the speedlite. Also, given the size difference, the CST is also often used as the trigger, with the CC left to adjust the lights but stored in a pocket or otherwise out of the way. One thing to keep in mind, you will need to set the camera manually for the studio lights, and let the speedlite do its TTL deal. But the speedlite will probably be only effective for fill, as if it is used for additional main lighting, the exposures will be too bright. |

Excellent! thanks for the very fast reply. and yes, its only for a bit of fill to cover off the two main lights running far left and far right. and i do have a CST which would be a whole lot less 'in the way' than the cc. sweet. |
