OK, So I've been a sport photographer for over 20 years now and had a strange request for using my alien bee's. I do have lexan covers for my speedotron sport heads to prevent any exploding glass from coming cascading down on a spectators at events. but now the local university has asked (With our asking what strobe unit I'm using that everything hung has to have safety cables and covers. (I safety Cable everything anyway.) but have never put lexan covers over the fronts of my WL or AB reflectors--I assumed the amount of glass in the blubs was so much less than my Speedotron Lights (an it is) anyway and have neve worried about it I went to a plastic shop and ha d covers similar to by Speedotron cover made to fit my AB sports Reflectors to comply--has anyone else done this?

I have heard of people mounting Lexan to the front of reflectors for this purpose. I would advise keeping the model lamps off, as the reflectors were not designed to be enclosed like this for cooling purposes.
