Hi guys,

I bought a refurbished Alien Bee B 1600 for a backup. I notice the green light flashes every 10 - 20 secs or so while not in use. After I fire it at full power it recycles and the green light goes off and then back on as normal then it off and on 4 seconds later as well... Is this normal?

Thanks..

If it is a quick blink, then that is normal. This is the circuitry ensuring the capacitors are charged to where they are supposed to be. If it is a long off then back on period, as though it is completely charging (like after a pop), then there may be something more that is going on with it.
