I preume you are mounting the Profoto softbox to a Paul C. Buff light? If so, our LGSR http://www.paulcbuff.com/speedrings.php (3rd item) will probably work. While this is the most common outer diameter speed ring size, it is by no means a standard. Profoto may have a Balcar mount speed ring as well. We have not tested any Profoto softboxes, so we cannot make any specific recommendations.

Jim,
Check the diameter of the adapter in the speedring. If its 6.125" then the adapter ring that Jerry Kacey makes will fit. Its a very nice ring because its flat and lets the Einstein flash tube sit more into the modifier.

Also consider a Bowens Quickring w/ a Balcar insert. If you've never tried a Quickring, you're in for a treat :-)
