Hi, I have had some x1600s for about 6 years and like them fine. I was going through a bunch of replacement bulbs I had on hand for those lights and and unfortunately did not mark which were UV and which were not when I got each one. Also there are two different diameters of the tubes themselves (not the diameter of the arc of the bulbes). Can you help me determine the approx temps of the .spare bulbs I have on hand? . I know that at first the choice was UV coated or not, but then if I understand correctly the bulbs sold changed to all be UV coated as the new bulbs fired at closer to 5900 while the earlier bulbs fired at around 5600. So is the smaller cross section tubes the new ones or old ones? (I am guessing the older ones.) Basically I have some of each diameter, and also I remember that I had UV and non UV bulbs of whichever the earlier bulb was. So am I looking at around 5600k for the newer bulbs (the fatter ones?), 5600k for the older non UV and 5300k for the UV coated older ones? And is the faint goldish haze a good indicator of the UV coating? Thanks. |
