Hey folks, I wonder if anyone can comment on the difference between the pre 2009 11R and the newer 11LTR. From what I can see the newer version is deeper/longer and has a polished interior. I own 12 Ultra 1200s with the original 11" sports reflector and I am considering upgrading to the x1600s (the Ultras are beginning to fail) and I am wondering if it's worth upgrading the reflector too. Several of my arenas have upgraded lights and we are now struggling to overcome ambient, so if there is an improvement I will likely try the new ones out. Thanks, Shane |

There will be a higher output, but a smaller beam spread. Don't forget you will also be upping the output by the light upgrade as well. |

Any idea what the spread on my reflectors (the old ones) are? I know that the new ones are 28 degrees. It's a college arena, but the catwalks are low and far back from the court. I probably have a bit more spill than I would like, but not by much. There is only a 60ws difference between the 1200 and 1600 correct? That's assuming my 1200s actually hit full output, which is unlikely. Shane |

The old 11R was about 45 degree spread. And yes, there is only a 60Ws difference. |

Thanks guys, so hopefully between the 10% power increase and the new reflectors I should be able to gain maybe a full stop? Thanks, Shane |

I would say 1/2 to 3/4 of a stop, assuming the Ultras were performing properly. |
