Many many years ago I purchased a flashpoint 1200 model strobe with a 5 inch reflector. At that time, accessories that were deigned for the Paul Buff 1200 mono-light series were compatible with the flashpoint mono-lights. Can the old 5 inch reflector on the flashpoint 1200 mono-light be replaced with a 7 inch reflector on the current model of White Lighting series? I am trying to purchase grids, beauty dishes that will fit this older unit. As funds permit, I do plan on purchasing a set of Alien Bees - 800. Thank in advance! The "Old Man" - Carl |

All of the modifiers we sell will fit on the Ultra models of flash units. I would expect anything else to fit on the Flashpoint, if the 5.5" reflector also does. However, not being familiar with the Flashpoint model, I hesitate to guarantee anything, just in case something is just different enough. If it has the four retaining fingers (or three like Balcar), then you should be fine. |
