Post subject:  Cyber commander v40 update - white screen/black screen

Hi there,
just updated my cybercommander to V40.
Screen flickered, but never shower the new version of software.
Tried to use old card with old software - black screen, I can hear it making standard noise when first inserted. Then - no noise, nothing on the screen.
It's one of the first cyber commanders with no antenna and I was probably updating from V24 or V28

Any suggestions?

It is probably updating from v.29, if you have not updated it yet. First, I would try formatting it (on a PC) to FAT(16) and trying the update again. If that fails, then try again with a new card (also formatted). Be sure you are not using a card that was formatted on a Mac, as they will format incorrectly. If you are still unsucessful, let us know and we can work from there.

Thank you for quick reply,

Tried to format it, -same thing, screen flickers, that goes white - never shows the software version.
Tried to format and upload and old firmware again - same thing - nothing on the screen, but i can hear it making same noise as it used to when staring up.

You are correct, it was my first update since I got it.
I have a sticker on the back with bar code and it says 3212. If is helps.

Thank you.
