I recently purchased a new Alien Bee Ring Flash from Buff. When it came I noticed someone had used a black Sharpie and marked all around the outer rim to fill in wear marks or imperfections.

I contacted Alien Bee and they said they had never seen this before and promptly sent me a new Ring Flash.

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this with this company before. :?:

This isn't really an appropriate thread for a technical forum.... just my 0.02. Something got goofed up and PCB took care of it right away. There isn't much else to say.

(Please don't read my tone as snarky or condescending - I don't mean it that way at all. Just seems way off-topic is all.)

My apologies. I was under the assumption this was a forum for users of Buff products to get answers. I simply asked a question. I'll remove myself from this forum and will no longer be a customer of Paul C. Buff Products in the future.

I think you are totally over reacting, you had a problem that was solved as you said, and you still post it, and when someone point you that is not really a technical question, you said you will never be a costumer of the company anymore? Just because of that? Quality of the flashes not matter to you? Only one problem, which was solved anyou are out?

The purpose of this forum is to ask and answer technical questions about our products, and the original post would fall outside the scope of a techincal question. We do appreciate feedback, both positive and negative. However, we limit content of the forum to technical questions as completely open forums tend to devolve into arguements, often due to conflicting opinion. We would like to maintain a friendly forum for sharing technical information, and therefore request any customer service or sales related matters be directed to our Customer Service/Sales team.

As well, while we appreciate the loyalty of our customers, we request refraining from perpetuating threads that take a negative turn.

As always, we appreciate your understanding and patronage.
