I dug an old (20 years) 283 out of the closet, and was wondering whether or not I would harm the Cybersync recvr if it happened to be one of the older ones that has the high voltage across the sync contacts... |

CyberSyncs can handle voltages up to 300v. Measure the voltage with a meter between the pins, while it's charging up and while it has full charge. If it has voltages less than 300v it should be fine. |

It is always a good idea to check, however we have users of old model flashes (particularly Vivitars) and i have yet to hear of a Cyber Sync unit getting fried when connedted to one. TS |
