Post subject:  ETA on PLM v2?

I saw a previous post from Paul (http://74.208.158.244/techforum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=106#p673) that stated the new PLMs would be expected to ship mid-february.

I wanted to order a few different sizes, but noticed they are all on backorder still and the 46" can't even be ordered online (presumably because it's being replaced with a 42" per previous discussions).

Are there any new announcements on availability? Can we preorder?

(I tried searching the forums, but it doesn't like the short searches using terms like "PLM" or "v2")

I inquired about the V2 earlier this week and received this reply:

"Thank you for contacting us and your interest in our products! We are
anticipating the PLMs with 7mm shafts to arrive toward the end of March.
They are considered "version 2". If you are interested in ordering, you may
do so online http://www.alienbees.com/plm.html or by phone toll free with
Customer Service at 800-443-5542. You can note that you want to order the
new version of the PLM. Please note that we won't charge your credit card
until your order ships. If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thanks again, and have a great day!"

So there you have it, about another month before they start trickling in.

The PLM V2's, we are expecting toward the end of march. However, we have been receiving shipments of the PLM's for a while, but have had so many back orders, they are all spoken for immediately. The fastest way to most PLM's is to place a back order for one. You can contact customer service, they may have provisions for holding an order until V2 is available.
