Here's an idea that I find helps when I mount Einsteins in my local gym ceiling for sports. I purchased a .223 laser bore sighter from Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002OK ... 00_details
for about $17.00 delivered or you can pick one up in your local gun shop or sporting goods store for about $30. I insert the boresighter into the back of the strobe in the umbrella tube. Align the reflector so the hole allows the laser beam to shine through. Bingo! You can now point the strobe with it over your head, leaning over a railing, etc. by simply placing the laser point where you want it. Just don't point it at somebody's eyes!

Tip #2: Beauty Dish Transport. I use a SKB 14x20 Marching Bass Drum Case. It holds my two beauty dishes perfectly. I keep a piece of foam rubber between the two to prevent any scratching.

Too funny! I was thinking of this exact idea last night as I setup my lights for a basketball. Thanks for finding my answer for me.

Have you tried the laser yet?

Jason

Yes! I mounted 5 strobes Tuesday morning for games held starting last night through the next three weeks. (5th strobe is for jump ball and special presentations)
