I just upgraded all my Einsteins to Firmware version 29. Everything upgraded exactly as the plans said it would. Now comes the problem. Upon trying to use the MC2, MiniTT1, and AC3 in concert, low and behold, it did not work at all, nothing. Fresh batteries and turn on sequence was followed but, no flash activation. Is there something I missed in configuring the E640s before using the above Pocketwizard components? Anybody else run into the situation. By the way, prior to the upgrade the everything worked fine with the exception of a few misfires which I accept as part as any cross brand technology issue.

First, Will the E640 fire if you press the LED on top of the MC2? If so, then the problem is not likely to be MC2 to E640 related. Does the flash unit fire if its own test button is used (try with and without the MC2 installed)?

Other than a channel/zone reset, I dont know what would cause that. As with pretty much all MC2 related concerns, I will need to defer you to PocketWizard for the most qualified assistance.

Pocketwizard did not know what was wrong either so, what I did was reinstall the firmware upgrade on all my E640s with a new mini-SD card. After the upgrade was finished, I went through the setup on each unit. Everything works fine, there is a high probability that the firmware became corrupted when I first tried the upgrade.

Try reflashing the firmware, and do the tests I describe above. Pocket Wizard will need to be the contact point for issues arising from the MC2 issues, as they manufactured the device, specified the firmware, as well as have knowlege with how they should react to the transmitters, which we are not intimately familiar with .
