It worked OK when I got it a couple of weeks ago, but I’m now trying to use it for the first time. Have double checked the frequency and channel, tried a few different channels, but it won’t fire. Fresh batteries in the CC & CSRB+, two Einsteins firing OK. Test button fires flash, and green status light is blinking. Any ideas?

First, is the channel defined as something ( would appear in blue above the word refresh in the lower right). If it were, say, a speedlite, it may not fire if not defined. Next, look at the bottom of your collumns. The E640s, if they are firing, will have a white dash under them. Does the channel in question also have a white dash or is it gray (white matches the other two dashes and the text, gray would match the lines in the graph)? If it is gray, then the light is set to standby in the "Light Settings" menu. If you have a white dash, and a blue light definition, then change frequency, then change it back.

As always, be sure the frequency and channel match by using the arrow end of the dials to point to the number value. Also, make sure the Cyber Commander is not in a GRP channel setting (in the lower left. Scroll to the right with the left joystick to scroll to ALL or CHxx).

OK, that was great -- I didn't have it set up - but even after getting it to say "speedlite", it's still wasn't firing until I changed both the freq & channel on the CSRB and then changed them back -- I'm guessing one or the other wasn't quite lined up right.

Thanks!

I have this same issue. It works then when I stop for awhile and comeback I need to change the frequency and change it back. Then, it starts to work again. Sometimes it takes a couple of changes back and forth. Is this normal?

Thanks.

How long is "a while"? I ask, because the receivers turn off after an hour of non use.

Sorry for the vague time frame, fifteen minutes or less.

If it is a speedlite set up you are having problems with, make sure the speedlite has not timed out and gone into standby. Different models will go into this mode at different times, and may have been changed by the user. Additionally, different models may be able to come out of standby with a signal from a remote (the first signal would not elicit a response, but subsequent ones would), while others require the light to be reset in some fashion. We recommend having the time out set very long or off completely.

Thank you. It is a speedlite and I will change the setting.
