We will build a quick turn of 100 units next week and begin another 1000 units the following week, and another 4000 units going into production immediately thereafter. We are ramping up production on this basis to avoid any possible unforeseen problem in the factory build process.

Couple of questions:
1. Will we be notified via email when our pre-order comes up?
2. Can we increase our order beyond what we pre-ordered?
3. Shipping will be immediate or when available?

Thanks!

Robert

From my understanding at this point, pre order customers will be notified by mass email and it will then go on the shopping cart for ordering with a estimated shipping time for new orders. There will be a place for you to note you are on the pre order list and those will be served in order received. We can't send individual emails regarding expected date of each separate pre order - too much for the customer service peeps.

You cannot increase the quantity of your pre order, added Einsteins would go to the back of the list. But they will count toward accessory discounts. We try to keep our policies Golden Rule and fair. Our peeps are going to be really slammed keeping up with this. But they always will find time to discuss this with you.

I have no doubt they will be slammed and I expected the new orders to go to the end of the queue. I will keep looking for that email. It's exciting to finally join the PCB family!

Paul,

The preliminary manual looks great, and is certain to cause a global epidemic of "drool factor" related keyboard failures while production ramps up, my keyboard included....

Thanks for all the hard work, and thanks to your staff as well. I can't imagine that the Einstein project reached the point of production status without the team making an extraordinary effort (I'd bet there were more than a few tense moments along the way :)).

Congratulations, and you should be proud. My budget is history when production reaches my pre-order, but a peanut butter and bread diet works great in a pinch.

They are being made now. The first 12 are perfect.

This is probably a stupid question, but I had originally put in a pre-order for 2 units and am now thinking I may want three. Can I change the pre-order, or can I submit a second pre-order? I just don't want to submit a second one for an additional unit and end up over-writing my first one.

Paul already answered your question this morning:

"You cannot increase the quantity of your pre order, added Einsteins would go to the back of the list. But they will count toward accessory discounts. Paul's response was to a slightly different question... "Can we increase our order beyond what we pre-ordered?" (referring to when the actual order is placed) I guess maybe he did answer it to a degree, but not 100%.

All I'm looking to do is get on the pre-order list for another unit. If it has to be a second pre-order and that goes behind all the other pre-orders, as long as it's still handled before non-pre-orders and any pre-orders after that one, I'm fine with that, I just want to know how to handle it. As word of the pending release gets out, I can see a lot more pre-orders coming in.

It seems to me the simplest and safest way to handle it is to pick up the phone and call customer service.
