is there a way to trigger my Sony A900 with the cyber cync? can seem to figure it out?

Yes, but with limitations. You will need a pre-release cable such as those found at FlashZebra. When used, a pre-release cable will lock the AF (acting like a half press on the shutter button). When the fire signal is recieved, the shutter will actuate (like a full press of the shutter button. You may find it helpful to have the camera in release priority, and C-AF or manual focus mode, as you cannot remotely actuate AF. Also, if the shutter button is disengaged from AF (i.e. pressing down on the shutter button halfway only actives the mirror), you may need to revert that for this to work.

Also, what connection are you using in your attempt to trigger?
