My Cyber Commander has been working fine for a few years. Today, however, it began to continuously reboot (displaying FW v40)...then going blank...then displaying FW v40. I've put in a fresh set of alkaline batteries, and I've reseated the microSD card (still no luv).

When I bring the CC near an Einstein, it fires in "uncontrollable" rapid succession until I pull the power cord. All in not well <g>...

What should I try next?

Stephen

Remove the SD card entirely. Does normal operation return? Also, are the batteries loose? If so, gently pry out on them so the make better contact with the batteries themselves.

Removing the SD card altogether "fixed" my problem. The CC is operating normally. Thanks.

Probably a corrupted card. You can try reformatting it (to FAT16). However, it may have been permanently damaged.
