Please add the metal plate that rotates and holds Einstein's fingers as a replacement part for separate ordering. It's the weakest link in the mounting system as it's made of aluminum and under heat and weight it gets all twisted and the fingers get loose and let go after time. I tried to straighten mine a few times but it's good only for a couple of shoots, after that the metal plate gets twisted again.

Taking the working conditions of this part into consideration, it should be made of stainless steel or at least twice as harder alloy than current.

Thanks,
Alex

Unfortunately, there is more involved than opening the case and replacing the faceplate. If you are having problems, we should take a look at it under the warranty.

Thanks for the reply,
I asked KHB in Canada a couple of months ago and they said they have no parts for Einsteins and if I want to service them I have to send them to US. That's not an option. I keep straightening that faceplate? (http://alexmaxim.ca/files/120909_067.jpg), which lasts for 2-3 more shoots and then gets bent again.
Being an engineer myself, I have no problem figuring out the cause of malfunction. I wish it was easier ordering replacement parts.

We do not send parts which require opening of our products, as opening the case would subject the warranty to be voided, as there are components in them which are either dangerous or would render the device unuseable if care is not taken.

I am not sure what concerns you have, exactly, of sending the units in to the U.S., but you may want to contact our repair department to see if there are ways to mititgate them.

I have the same problems too. you do not expect me to start shipping the Einstein from Nigeria to the states, if the warranty goes void, it will be my own doing and not yours. the cost for shipping the item back to the state is twice the cost for 2 new Einstein so i need the replacement to put it in order.thanks

All warranty service which requires a product to be disassembled will need to return to the distributor from which the item was purchased.
