Hi All,
I am having the following issue updating from firmware v22 to v31. When I insert the card and connect the power cord, the unit does not show the flickering screen but the fan goes on and off rapidly (not at high speed). Once removed the card the unit still shows the v22 firmware.

Is there something wrong with the procedure or with the units?.

Thanks for helping

I had a problem the first time I upgraded the firmware. I didn't format the micro sd card but did everything else as I should. After I did a format on a windows system, everything worked as expected.

Don't know if that's your problem but I assumed whit a new card it would have the correct format. I was wrong...

I did the format as you described but the problem persists in all units. The fan goes on and off quickly (but not at high speed).
Thanks

FWIW, I'm having the EXACT same problem.

Hope to hear a solution soon.

EDIT: Got it to work. Had to format the microSD to FAT16 (was FAT32). Everything worked perfectly after that.

OK, I sorted that out. I changed the card. However, the card was not defective since I updated the Cybercommander.
Thanks
