Hi, I can't help to wonder how it works... I have 4 Einsteins and the Cybercomander, and I'm thinking about buying the ring flash now, and the remote for it it's only a receiver, not a transceiver, so how the Cybercommander can know and display the settings of the flash connected with a Cybersync? And also how the Cybercommander recognizes it? Would the "open from studio" work with it?

Thanks

Open studio would recognize the receiver. You would then go into SPEC LIGHTS and define that light as an ABR800. All the parameters are stored in the Cyber Commander for each of the various lights.

So there is a two way communication? Just curious how it works.

There is a limited amount of 2 way communication. The CSR/B+ can send its identity, command verification, and the settings currently stored (standby, model mode, flash and model power, etc). If the reciever is set to -2f, then the Cyber Commander will display whatever -2f is based on what is programmed as that light. If it is programmed as a ABR800, then it will display 80Ws. If it is programmed as a B1600, then it will display 160Ws, etc.

Upon re-reading, I should clarify that by "identity" I mean it tells the commander it is a receiver on a certain channel. It does not automatically identify the lights like the Einstein/CSXCV does.
