Hi-
For some time, I have had an erratic problem with my vb 2 not working when I turn it on slow/fast. It was always fully charged when this happened. Typical scenario would be set up lights using vg2 do a few shots move lights to next location set up with vg 2 turn on vg 2 and no power. When this happens none of the red lights are on. Shoot with ac power or vagabond mini for 20 mins or so, plug lights back into vg 2 and it works. Saturday I was on a shoot where it was fully charged and worked fine for the first 30 mins. when we broke down and set up in a new location and tried to power the lights from the vg2 the vg2 would not power on in the slow position only the fast. I tried moving the switch to off then back to slow then to fast and then we had no power at all. I am wondering it this sounds like a bad switch in the vg2. Like I said I have had this problem of the vg 2 not powering on at all when fully charged then start working again, but I have not seen it where it would only work in the fast setting. I just tried the vg 2 again, and now it will only power up in fast mode. Thanks for any input you can provide.

It sounds like a hyperactive GFI or a bad switch. In either case, the inverter will need to come in for a check. If the battery is working fine, you can fully charge it and disconnect it (making sure the battery leads to not touch), and send only the inverter to us. The time off the charger will not be detrimental to the battery as long as it is fully charged. If you suspect something in the battery, you can send it in for evaluation as well.
