I purchased 4 Einstein units with the Power MC2 and am using my Mini TT1 with an AC3 controller. My problem is the following: when I want to shut down the flash on one of my two Einstein strobes using the switch on the AC3 module, the strobes still ends up firing at 1/256 power. Although the high aperture on my camera will render the strobe at 1/256 power insignificant, I still want the AC3 to have the ability to completely suppress the flash but have not found a way to do so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's odd. I can fully turn off my Einstein from my AC3. Any chance that the optical slave could be on and somehow triggering it?

I would concur that the slave eye is the most likely culprit, though I have not seen this before. Also, make sure all remotes and the E640 have the latest firmware updates. The link to E640 firmware can be found below.

I experienced the same problem today - I am not able to turn off individual zones on my Einsteins equipped with MC2's using the AC3 controller, i.e. turning off zone C does not turn off the Einstein that is associated with zone C. Likewise if I turn off zone A the Einstein on zone A still fires. If I turn off both zone A & B then neither zone A or B Einstein fires. However I am able to control the up and down output of each Einstein from the AC3. I noticed that the original post for this was May 2012 and am wondering what the solution is/was. I am running the latest software and firmware and my slave eye is off.

Did you ensure the slave eye was off? (two down and to the left arrows on the back panel of the light)
