i have a cyber commander and then i also have the cyber cync trigger. if i have 3 lights setup. what is the easiest way to select only 1 of those lights to go off, 2 of those lights to go off, and all 3 to go off right from camera? i assume i can use groups from the cyber commander, but i have no idea how to set those up, and the manual is not very useful... any input?

I am not sure if you have seen the new manual (September 2012, available here: http://www.paulcbuff.com/manuals/cc.pdf ), but the instructions for setting up groups are below in bold. The groups will need to be set up before they can be selected from the main flash screen.

To select one light, you will need to set up a group that contains only that light. For two lights, you will need to create a group with those two lights. There is no need to create a group for all lights, as that would be redundant to the ALL channel setting.

I recommend starting with group 8 and working down to GRP7, GRP6, etc. This will make selections faster than scrolling all the way to GRP1. Once set up, you simply scroll to the left past ALL to select the group with the lights you desire.

Setting Up Groups
1. Navigate to the SETUP menu. From the primary FLASH screen, press the RIGHT JOYSTICK to the RIGHT to navigate to the SETUP screen.
2. Select the GROUPS menu. Using the UP and DOWN actuations on the RIGHT JOYSTICK
to select a particular function, scroll to the GROUPS function. When GROUPS is
highlighted, press IN on the RIGHT JOYSTICK to select it. The SET UP GROUPS screen
should appear.
3. Choose a group number. Using the LEFT and RIGHT actuations on the LEFT JOYSTICK,
scroll through group options (GRP1 thorugh GRP8) and select a group number for
identification of your group.
4. Add and remove lights / channels to your group. Using the UP and DOWN actuations on
the LEFT JOYSTICK, select a light / channel that you wish to add to or remove from
your group. With the desired channel selected, use the UP and DOWN actuations on
the RIGHT JOYSTICK to add or remove the channel. Green bars at the top and bottom
of the chart for the specified channel indicate that the channel is included in the
group. The green bar is removed when the channel is removed.
