I am starting to do time lapse with long exposures which drains the batteries in my Nikon D800 fast. Should it be possible to use the AC power chord for the D800 with my Vagabond Mini for longer time lapse projects? Has anyone tried this? Keith |

You should be able to do this OK. I doubt the D800 on AC draws more than 120 watts. |

I looked into it, and the EH-5B adapter draws more than I expected. 88-117W. While it does not exceed the 120W rating of the VML, it will consume the battery surprisingly fast (IMHO). A VML would run about 1- 1.5h at "room temperature". Extreme cold and extreme heat can shorten the effective life of a charge. |

Say for example you left the VML on overnight with no plugs attached; would there still be power left in the battery? The only things that would be draining the battery would obviously be the LED light. thanks! |
