I am considering the purchase of a pocket wizard.
Before puchaseing a unit I need to resolve a couple of issues
as all My whitelightning units are of the older generation,
I have Two 1200, and two 600 units and at some stages they all are on and operating at the same time. The one exception is the AlienBee B400 unit. Of which I have one.
Which of the units would work best with this system? your help and guidence would be appreciated.

Pretty much any remote system with, any quality, can be used to trigger our lights as long as it has a mono cord (which may need to be purchased separately). Unless you need specific features for a specific task, all remotes will trigger the light, and some will do more advanced stuff.

We can't really comment on the PocketWizard system specifically, but we do offer our CyberSync remotes: http://www.paulcbuff.com/cybersync.php which allow basic triggering as well as a tier that offers remote power adjustment of up to 16 lights (more than any other system allows with our lights).

The CST is a basic transmitter and the CSR and CSRB are basic receivers. Together, these will allow one to reliably trigger their lights without a cord going from camera to light.

Alternatively, the Cyber Commander, when used with a CSR+ or CSRB+, will allow remote metering and power control of the flash units without cords from camera to flash units. The CST can also be integrated to this system. By keeping the CST mounted to the camera, the Cyber Commander is free to be taken to the subject for metering or kept on a lanyard for easy access for power control.

Both tiers have a range of up to 400'.
