I have the Cyber Commander, and Cyber Sync, and use it with my 5 E640s. Sometimes I use speedlights, with the Einsteins and feel the need for a lightmeter. My question is could I use the L-478 with PW module to somehow trigger the Einsteins? Maybe get a PW receiver and attach it to a Cyber Sync Trigger to it to fire the Einsteins?

Is this the easiest way? It would be awesome if PCB would make a module for the Sekonics

The Cyber Commander does have a light meter built in. You should find it to be within one or two tenths of a stop when compared to your Sekonic.

If you do decide you want to use your Sekonic, you can connect the CST to the meter via the sync cord that was provided with the CyberSync. Or you can put the meter in cordless mode, press its test button, then press the CST test button. Once the light fires, the meter will read the amount of light.

Or, you can connect a PW acting as a receiver to a CST and relay the signal.

(Thinking out loud) Ok, I need to get a grip, and standardize my triggers. As it is right now, I trigger my Canon speedlights with pixel knights, my Youngnuo speedlights with rf602s, and my PCB lights with the CC system.

If I get a few CSRs for the speedlights, then I have the synch cable and a shoe adapter (because some don't have a built in jack), and they don't adjust power remotely....but I can use the CC for metering.

If I get a Sekonic light meter, I can get another CSTT, and it'll trigger the PCB lights, but not the speedlights? I still have a CSTT on camera, and the Pixel Knights attached via the cable...not ideal.

Maybe I can get away without the light meter?

Ok, just spent hrs reading this forum.

The L-478DR with the PowerMM2 will remotely adjust the E640's power, but not all 9 stops??

Will the CSRB allow 1 speedlight per channel in the CC, or do I need the CSRB+?

Does anyone know:
1. Does the PowerMM2 allow the 6 stops to be chosen? eg. at the higher power (640ws down), or choose the lower 6 stops (2.5ws up)?

2. Will the CSRB allow 1 speedlight per channel in the CC, or do I need the CSRB+?

Thanks!

The PW system allows only 6 stops at a time. You can configure the system to choose which 6 stops.

CSRB will not allow for channel identification. It will trigger from the ALL fire command on a Cyber Commander, but cannot be individually metered or disabled. A CSRB+ will allow for individual metering and disabling, but not power adjustment.

THANKS!!
Ok, 1 more question. Will the CSRB+ allow power adjustment on the AB's? and ABR? Modeling light?

(if they do) Is the adjustment just as accurate as with the E640s? 1/10th of a stop. How many stops?

Yes...I've used it to do modeling light adjustment and power adjustment of the ABs.

Accurately like with the E640s, in 1/10 increments? How many stops with the ABs/ABR?
