Hi all,

here is the scenario,

I will have 1 transmitter mounted to my camera and I will have 1 Einstein mounted on a lightstand with a receiver and the other Eeinstein mounted on a C stand attached to a superclamp. Both lights will be no more than 3 feet from each other. But here is the question... Can I get a both lights to fire at the same time using a splitter or extension from the first receiver on the Einstein to the Second.

Thanks in advance
Greg

The Einsteins without receivers can be fired using their built-in optical slaves.

DJP I have heard that the optical slave built in in not rock solid depending on where you are and a few other variables. I was hoping to get a splitter cord that would attach to both units all using the one receiver.

The receiver for Einstein is $30. You will spend at least half that to get a splitter cable. Also, the Einstein receiver does not have an 1/8 connection, only the multi-pin connection, so you cannot split it like most receivers. I would suggest a receiver (CSXCV) for each light.

All optical slaves have their limitations, especially outdoors with softboxes, as you have previously described.
