Post subject: | Disassembling Octa and Softboxes |
Hi guys... i was wondering if there's anyway to disassemble the foldable Octo and Softboxes, removing the speedring, for an easier and not so heavy transportation? Thanks again |

Not really. The spokes are tied to the speed ring with a wire that is then twisted closed. While you can brute force it apart, getting it together would be more trouble than it is worth :) |

We don't have a specific recommendation, no. I don't think it would need Pellican type protection, but a firm sided case that they fit in should work. For the cost of many cases on the market, you may consider getting PLM's for travel work. These can collapse much smaller, and would give a softbox look when used with a diffusion fabric. |
