So, i'm trying to make this work :?

Is it possible? My pocketwizards (zomg teh wirld is ending backups) will do it. However, id rather leave them in a bag in my trunk...

I see no reason why this will not work, but I have not personally tried.

No dice. Tried it with both of my new style csts (my blue one doesn't have a port) a wein & a sonia.

-Wein won't fire cst or pw
-Sonia won't fire cst but will fire pw
-cable works from pc port of camera

What am i doing wrong?

If you can hack up the cable, try swapping the wires. The cybersync receivers are opposite the polarity Speedotron packs want, so the CST might have the same issue...

It could be the pulse width of the slave is not long enough to trigger the CST. In which case, there is not a whole lot you can do.

Basic optical slaves my not work, you will need to look for one that has a pulse stretcher that can offer a 4us or longer pulse width. I am not sure how well this will be documented in product descriptions.

Unfortunately, we do not have any specific recommendations.
