Post subject:  Yellowish Octabox Diffuser

I got a large octabox that I bought 1 year ago and a few days ago I bought a new medium octabox and I just realized that my old large octabox diffuser color is yellowish than my new octabox.
And yes, the color has shiffted... :(

Can anyone tell me how to make my old diffuser white and clean...
(i've tried clean it with detergent, and nothing happen) :(

Are both softboxes the same brand (sorry, that was implied, but not explicitly stated)?

If so, you can try a different detergent. Though be wary of those that "make whites whiter", as these can cause the fabric to fluoresce and cast a blue color on the image.

Yes, both Paul C. Buff foldable octabox 47" & 35"
Octabox 47" i've bought early 2012, and 35" i've bought few days ago.
Are there different types of fabrics based on the year of manufacture?

Can I use bleach to clean it?

FWIW, I bought a used Plume softbox a few years back and the front diffuser was badly yellowed.
Tried regular detergent, bleach, etc. Nothing worked and had to buy a new one diffuser panel :-(

It's fairly normal for them to age over time...all brands do it...

No, we do not sell the panels. However, you can contact customer service to see if we have a spare.
