Since the Einstein syncs automatically with the Cyber Commander, there's no way to set the actual max wattage of the modeling light like you can with the Alien Bees...is that correct? I tried searching the forum but didn't see the answer, though I'm sure it's been asked before. Maybe it doesn't matter, I don't know.

I'm using one Einstein and one 1600 AB in a group to light the background. They both have 150W modeling lights. Does it matter that the Cyber Commander thinks the Einstein has a 250W bulb (in error)? If that's just the way it is, do I need to adjust anything to have everything be balanced with regards to that group's tracking, etc.? Ultimately, I'll pick up another 1600 or another Einstein to match them, but not there yet.

Thanks.

It will not affect how the Einstein operates. However, there will be some display discrepancies between the E640 and the B1600. If you would rather, you could set the B1600 model lamp as a 250W bulb. Yes, they will both be inaccurate, but they will be equal in the CC as they are in actuality.

Got it. As I suspected, but I just wanted to make sure. I first tried turning the setting on the Einstein to 150W, but that dimmed the bulb, so I thought that was not OK. The 250W setting on the 1600 is an interesting idea. Thanks very much, Richard
