Hi, I have a CSRB+ hooked by the RJ11 cord to an AB800 controlled by a Cyber Commander. It's the first time I've been using the CSRB+ though I bought it a long while back. I have it all set up in the CC and can control the AB fine, but when I want to turn off lights by going to "light settings" and switching to standby, this combo turns the modeling up all the way instead of turning it off like my other Bees/Einsteins. I tried a CSR+ on the same AB, which worked OK, so I'm thinking it is a CSRB+ issue. Is this normal? Am I doing anything wrong? BTW, fresh batteries were used all around. Thanks, Richard

Well, since I didn't get a reply, I figured there must not be an answer, so I went back to the drawing board and tried the CSRB+ on another AB. Surprise, surprise, it worked fine when going to standby, and moving the CSR+ to the original problem AB, it also worked. I rechecked the CSRB+ to the original AB, and again, it didn't work. So take home lesson: I can't use that CSRB+ with that AB, but any other combo seems to work...go figure.

deedee deedoo. Deedee deedoo, you've just crossed over into the twilight zone...(complete with Alien Bees of course.)

All's well that ends well I suppose.

There was no reply as the question was asked on a weekend. While I do attempt to monitor the forum over the weekend, I cannot answer all questions. Sometimes I do not have the opportunity, sometimes I do not all the information needed.

However, there may be an issue in the CSRB+. This may be a situation where real time trouble shooting via phone would be more effective.

Also, so that we do not get in to personal order history here, if you are not available for phone support, you can email us with the specifics of when these units were ordered. You can put this email to the attention of David.

Thanks for the reply. I completely understand about the weekends deal, no problem. I did email about this problem last week as well so you are aware. What I like about your tech forum is that people put up the issues, and then everyone can read about solutions via search. It really builds up a big knowledge base not unlike Apple's discussion area. Many heads are better than one. The "no reply" comment wasn't meant to be a dig, just an intro to a weird/funny outcome. I bought the unit second hand with an AB, so I'm not sure when it was originally bought. It was the first time I used it, and it looks unused. I'll keep using it, and if it acts up again, I'll get back in touch.

I'm a fan, so no worries. Richard

Fair enough. I didn't take it personal, but also wanted it out there as general information.
