Hello,

I am comparing the Cyber Commander / Einstein system with Canon's 600EX-RT / ST-E3 system. As I understand it, in the Canon system, the radio comms between the speedlites and ST-E3 allow for all the flashes to report "ready/not ready" status, the ST-E3 sums them all up, and when all flashes in the system are ready, gives the photographer a single "system ready" beep / LCD color change.

I cannot find anything referenced, so I am assuming that the Cyber Commander has no audible beep built in. My current setup (using a mix of cheap speedlites) is quite annoying with the "beebeep beep" as multiple flashes recycle at different times. (I assume this is what would happen with multiple Einsteins set to report audibly.)

Question: Does the Cyber Commander have anything built in to say to the photographer "system is ready" (e.g., an icon on screen, or a change in the screen background color?)
Would it be possible via a firmware upgrade, to have the Cyber Commander wait for all the Einsteins to report "ready", and then command a simultaneous beep across the studio? (Or does it do this already?)

Thanks!

CC, nor Einstein, has the ability to send or receive flash-ready signals, nor does CC have a beeper.

If it bugs you that much, you can turn off the beep on the strobes you set at the lowest power. Typically, the key light has the highest power level.
All studio strobes do this FYI...
