Post subject:  Einstein 25w modeling lamp look reddish

I may be imagining this but it seems like the 25w modeling lamp recommended for use with the Einstein and Vagabond Mini combination is a bit on the red side. This seems to get more pronounced as the wattage is lowered.

Look reddish as compared to what? The model lamps are incandescent lights, which will be in the neighborhood of 3000K, and will go lower as voltage is reduced.

Thanks, that explains what is going on; I thought they were supposed to be more towards the daylight range.

Generally speaking, model lamps most flash units on the market will be incandescent and have uncorrected color temperature. Even those that do will still shift as voltage is reduced.
