I'm sure this is in the manual somewhere. How do I fire a test shot with just one channel going off so I can see the effect isolated? I know I've done this before but can't seem to find it.

Forgot to mention this is using the CyberSync Commander.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dave

You would need to set the channel up as a group. This is discussed on page 48 in the current manual.

Ok, so for simplicity sake, I typically use channel 1 for my main light, channel 2 for one or more 'kickers', and channel 3 for the background. If I set each of these up as a separate group and put a marker, maybe taped onto my Einsteins, as to which channel they are currently set for, I should be able to set up my lighting and also have everything set so that I can select to fire an individual group to see what each one looks like?

Yes, if by "fire" you mean triggered by the camera, as opposed to buttons. (The buttons do not require the grouping like the hotshoe does)
