I'm sorry to have to post this again, I've done a research before posting this and couldn't find the info.


I got the Alien Bees B800 and they are 120v, I need to use them now on a 220v outlet, I've read the FAQ and it was recommended I get a "true magnetic transformer" and a minimum of 300w.

I've went through the websites that were included in the FAQ and contacted few of them and they have recommended me few products to use.

My problem is I don't get what a true magnetic transformer is, I get to the website to search for a power convertor and not sure what should I look for.

I am going with a 500w rather than 300w just to be safe but I'm still not sure which converter or transformer I should get and was hoping I could get help from the technical team and other users with experience.
