Long story short I bought the large PLM with quick mount and it ended up bending the prongs on my Einstein and now it doesn't hold anything larger than my BD in place. I had my large octa mounted in the middle of the shoot it fell off because of said problem above and then it wouldn't fire. Every time I would hit the test button it would beep as it normally does to say it was recharged and ready to fire again but no actual flash would happen. I'm nowhere near even a quarter of the 200,000 pops it claims so I'm assuming it had something to do with the octa falling off. My main question surrounds the bulb. Does it still beep even when the bulb is burnt out? Thanks.

That assumes it is under warranty. However, it should be sent in for service, in or out of warranty.

Yes, the beep will still sound even with a defective or missing flash tube.
