I did a search, but given how odd this seems, none of the search terms I used brought up anything that seemed relevant, except for one where Tech Support mentions/asks if the user checked if the slave eye was "locking out".

I think I have that problem, but want to verify. I picked up a set of used ABs, (two 800s, one 400). Was using the 400 as a hairlight, with a pocket wizard PlusIII attached. We noticed that flash going off when we trigger other flashes for the 4 photobooths we had set.

We checked connections, it still did it. We swapped the entire PW and cord, and still did it.

Thus, it *seems* that the slave eye isn't "locking out." Does this sound correct?

Is so, what's the remedy...anything I can do, or does it need to be sent it and, if so, what's the cost for that.

Thank you for your time.

It will need to come in if it is not locking out. Just to ensure it is not a weird PocketWizard problem, leave the cord plugged in, but disconnect the PocketWizard. Make sure the cord is fully inserted (so you cannot see any silver from the plug). Then fire a flash behind the suspect light and see if the light fires. If so, there is a problem in the sync/slave lock out, which will require the light to come in.

You can visit this page for information regarding having the light repaired if needed: http://www.paulcbuff.com/repair.php
