Good Morning Team,

I recently purchased 2 Vagabond mini lithiums from the PCB website directly.

Order # 2307-3007-4054

Both vagabonds came in perfect condition without any technical faults.

However, after a couple of uses, one of them seems to have a problem.

Here are the symptoms:

1. When i switch on the vagabond, the battery life indicators show green, and the light under the 30a Fuse shows orange. All four lights go off within a second.

2. When the vagabond is connected to the charging unit, it charges normally.

3. While its connected in the charging unit, and i switch the vagabond on. all four lights come on, however, they flicker continuously. (Where as on the working vagabond, they stay on constantly.)

Would you be kind enough to diagnose what the error could be ? And what i could do to resolve these.

I'm aware its covered under warranty, but its a hassle sending it back since i stay in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).

Looking forward to hearing from the tech team.

Thanks in advance.

Hiten Nainaney

Swap batteries to see if the problem follows the inverter or the battery.

Otherwise, all I can say is it is likely a fault in the inverter or the batttery. It would be difficult to say what the fault is without the unit in hand.

We cannot offer advice on self repairs to the internal workings of our products. Rather, the vagabond would have to come in for service.

Good Morning & Thanks for your reply.

I swapped the batteries and checked and can now confirm that the fault is in the inverter.

Any other symptoms you'd like to know to asses this better ?

Best Regards,

You can check the red/black connectors on the back of the inverter to ensure they are snug and the metal "tongues" are where they belong (you can compare with any other red/black connector).

Any actual diagnosis will require the unit to come in. However, since it is only the inverter portion, you should not need to send the battery. (You should contact our repair department to be sure before you send it, however).
